shuckybucky 107 Posted September 24, 2012 Ones anyone else eat their meals (and they seem to go down fine) but about an hour later start experiencing stomache ache and then PB? I had my band unfilled for surgery a few weeks ago but I have had more PB and vomiting since getting it loosened. I even had the morning stomache acid vomiting and have had to go on reflux medicine. 2muchfun 8,927 Posted September 24, 2012 PB'ing usually happens immediately after or during stuck episode. For food to pass through the stoma and into your lower stomach it does seem very odd that you would be PBing. Are you sure it's PB'ing? PB'ing happens when you are stuck and it's a combination of small burp like vomits that produce the slime and maybe some food chunks and seems to limit the amount of discomfort from being stuck? I've never had acid reflux so I can't comment on that issue? tmf
shuckybucky 107 Posted September 24, 2012 It could be vomiting but a lot of the time I feel like I'm going to vomit and it is a lot of dr heaving and burping. Also if I lay on my left side I burp almost nonstop. I might have to book a flight to my dr.
2muchfun 8,927 Posted September 24, 2012 Good idea. Vomiting can lead to a slip. Your stomach goes into convulsions with vomiting and could dislodge your band from the sutures that adhere the band to your stomach. tmf
meshelcr7 0 Posted September 24, 2012 Good idea. Vomiting can lead to a slip. Your stomach goes into convulsions with vomiting and could dislodge your band from the sutures that adhere the band to your stomach. tmf Hello, I got my band in Jan of this yr. so far I have lost 70lbs and am soooo happy!!! 20 more to go to hit my goal. I really have never has any "BIG" problems, I may vomited twice in 8 months. How ever, about a month ago I had to get a flush b/c I had a piece of chicken that had gotten stuck causing me not to be able to eat or drink. When my Dr flushed me I felt as if I have been able to eat a cow. I'm afraid that some how my band has slipped. Does anyone know or has had slippage? And what are/were your symptoms??? HELP!!
