I had it in june.....just wondering how everyone else is doing with it, down 60 lbs with no fills, I still get sick if I eat to fast but only if it gets stuck, I was the 2nd one that my surgeon had done, but the first one did lose much weight, so I ask anyone how they are doing except here.

I had it done, too, 6 weeks ago. I am down 25 lbs. I went for my post op check last Thursday and my surgeon didn't think a fill was necessary. I agree! I go 4 to 5 hours between meals and eat with no problems. I get full quickly and have no cravings. Life is pretty great! I am so glad that I had the plication done. I can't see that there are any downsides to having it done. Best decision ever.

Same here, I really didn't want to do the plication, but my dr doesn't like to do lapband alone, she said it reduces band slippage, so I went for it and I'm glad I did, she won't do any fills until I stop losing weight, she said the band is for back up.

I am strongly considering plication, and am almost convinced that is the way I want to go. It sounds like it is very effective. I'm glad my doctor suggested it.

Gotta say my plication has been good but I'm not losing a ton like I thought I might. I've gotten 2 fills. I think the band, the plication, and me all need to work together. I do get full faster, but I need to really track my calories to lose weight.

I'm a year out from lap band with plication and am down about 88 lbs. I'm happy with the amount I've lost, the time it's taken to lose it and I'm about 13 lbs away from my initial goal. One of the best decisions I've ever made!

I have some issues with bread and or if I don't eat slow it tends to get stuck, I didn't even think I would have any restrictions with the band being deflated but it's still there so I guess it can still cause my food to get stuck, I still get bouts of nausea alot! I just try to deal with it and get use to it!

I've had 2 small fills and I too get stuck with bread and I get full much faster than before. In that sense, the plication is good.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.

Lost my Pup last month and struggled really hard for that first month. Stopped tracking intake and slid into old habits here and there. Also quit working out. Can't walk in the neighborhood because of all of the memories we shared. Losing my Pup is the most heartbreaking thing I've ever been through. My Pup was my world 💔
Talked to my doc during my one year followup and they were not worried about my current status. They know, and I know, that I will get back on track.

I'm so sorry. I lost my pup (Mr. Bitters - a chocolate Pomeranian) 2 years ago and it still makes me tear up. He was my everything - my constant companion. I understand. Do the best you can to get back on track.
