Harrier's Woman 58 Posted September 22, 2012 Just wondering...how long did you stay in the hospital after being banded? If it was less than a day; do you felt you should have stayed longer?
wildrose1966 396 Posted September 22, 2012 I was on the operating table at 8am and home by noon. I know some stay overnight. I was good with being home as I did not have pain or huge discomfort.

Mystie 146 Posted September 22, 2012 I was told originally it would be an overnight stay for WLS because they want to check for leaks the next morning, but I'm not sure if that really applies to Lap-Band or not, since it's just a few sutures they put in. wallflower 188 Posted September 22, 2012 I stayed overnight. Surgery was don't by 3:30 pm and left hospital at 2:00pm next day. No I didn't feel I needed to stay more. I actually kept stalking my nurse to hurry along the paperwork to get me out of there. Us nurses make the worst patients ya kno lol 1 Harrier's Woman reacted to this
Banterwonder 63 Posted September 23, 2012 My surgery was afternoon and I stayed overnight. Went home the next day afternoon. It was ok in the hospital, but I was bugging the staff to discharge me quick as I really wanted to be in my own bed. They woke you every 2 hours to walk for 10-15 minutes.... necessary, I know, but a real pain. 1 Harrier's Woman reacted to this

missybear 86 Posted September 25, 2012 I had checked in at 8.30am, operated on around noon, stayed overnight and left around 8am the next day. I always feel terrible from Anesthesia, and was quite uncomfortable and in pain which I appreciated the nurses help.
