i got hiccups for the first time post op, they were so painful i dropped in pain to my knees and started crying like an uncontrollable baby, luckily laying down made them go away. Nurse said it gets better as you heal. anyone else experience this?

No, I don't recall having hiccoughs soon after post op.

I do experience them now on a fairly regular basis as a "soft sign" that I have had enough to eat.

Hope you feel better!

I had hiccups on three different occasions today but I am 7 weeks out. It doesn't hurt but it is not comfortable either.

I got hiccups about 4 days after surgery and have had them everyday since... Except for today! *knock on wood* They were extremely painful at first but now I can hiccup with out any pain at all! The only thing that sucks is trying to talk when you have them.
