deb32 10 Posted September 19, 2012 I was told not to eat rice but does that include brown rice too?
Jachut 487 Posted September 19, 2012 I eat brown rice on an almost daily basis - I like to mix it with exotic rices like black rice, wild rice and Himalayan red rice. They are full of valuable antioxidents, soluble fibre and complex carbs - I only eat a quarter of a cup at a time, not big amounts. I have no trouble with rice, it never gets stuck. FLORIDAYS 3,040 Posted September 19, 2012 You will find everyone is different. You might be fine with rice. I am not..even a teaspoon of rice ... white or brown usually comes back up. But that's just me.

Sojourner 2,446 Posted September 19, 2012 I can tolerate a very small amount of brown rice...usually about half a teaspoon. Everyone has different tolerances...so I waited until 6 months post op to try it. Part of the band diet is trial and error.
marfar7 1,533 Posted September 19, 2012 I'm one of those rare ones that can eat almost anything (cept pineapple chunks and thick pizza crust). I eat sandwiches, rice, Pasta, bread, etc. I only eat a few bites of anything tho. It's all trial and error. Try it very slowly. If it works, yeah!
