Keep in mind the whole purpose of a post op diet is to allow your stomach time to heal and has nothing to do with weight loss. For your own best interest and health, you'd be wise to stick to it going forward so you don't accidentally cause yourself problems.

i find that success rate kinda low but i guess it depends on what article you happen to be reading

i know many success stories of banders on this and many forums. to be successful, you need to help

the band 98%. not all none successes are the bands fault. its people not following the band diet.

so here goes with bad, dont hate me, you know your suppose to follow the dr's instructions to help you heal. like the other poster, its over but dont forget it, learn from it and do better. you wanted this surgery so now you need to do in order to make yourself well.

yes, we are all human but i dont know what you ate, heck it may not have even been that bad.

i too had hernia repair and could only get down 2oz of liquid. since i have healed, i am about at 4 or 5.

you need to remember, cheating on your diet and mine got us to where we needed the band anyhow.

you need to heal. hang in there.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.
