Plenty of Water, moisturize, exercise. Sometimes it comes down to genetics and the health of your skin. I have heard if you have stretch marks in an area, the skin is already compromised.

No problem, I also worry about loose skin, but I figure if push comes to shove I can save for skin removal. I'd much rather be thin and healthy with loose skin than fat and unhealthy without!

well, i think it depends alot on our bodies (some peoples skin is more elastic than others)

and then some will be more saggy than others. i would rather have saggy skin then be obese anyday so i am not fretting very much over it. (however, you can always have plastic surgery if you want to). congrats on your surgery :)

It really is a lot of genetics....but if you continue to exercise it will help you stay toned. I think the majority of people have at least a little bit of 'flab', especially if they have lost a lot of weight. I have lost over 100 lbs, and most of my flab is in my stomach, but its not noticable with clothes on, and I think without clothes I notice it more than my fiancee, more than anything I need a boob job now.

I had this same question with my surgeon. I ask him adn he since as a non-smoker your skin is basically like elastic and with workouts it should not be something to worry about

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
