Ugh! I keep getting them, a million times a day! Anyone else experience this? I'm a week post op, and the last few days they just keep coming!

I still get them wayyyy more than I'd like, not everyday, but probably at least 4 times per week. It is an annoying side affect. I am not sure how to not get them anymore. Hopefully someone here can give some good advice that I can listen too also.

yes, i get them (i call them baby hiccups)

its a sign (to me) that i am full and its time for me to stop eating

(also a sign to slow down eating or the bite was too big)

dont know if this helped :)

I get them also it is usually a sigh that I should stop eatting. Although they can be annoying think in the positive. These hiccups are helping us to eat less and lose weight.

I only get them when I eat too fast so as time goes by I am learning to slow down and I am getting them much less

I'm about 6 weeks out and I usually get about 3-4 hiccups and I know I'm done eating, I kind of like the signal, usually right before my 1/3 cup is eaten...

I'm 8 days post-op and yep I get them a lot! I've recognised it's when I've slightly overdone it and am full but my god it's painful when my insides are still so tender!

Try eating more slowly, take smaller bites, and pre-measure your portions. Hiccups are one of the ways I know I have overeaten.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
