Or - I went to a gluten free expo on Saturday here in Melbourne and sampled a new product called Slimpasta - its basically what you guys have a Shirataki noodles (or kognac noodles). Calorie free, carb free, they just contain soluble fibre and that's it.

I cooked them up last night with some homemade pesto (walnut and spinach mmmmm), sundried Tomato, olives and smoked chicken and a bit of parmesan - OMG it was delish! They are more like noodles than Pasta and dont taste like wheat pasta but a perfectly acceptable alternative for the calorie saving!

We cant get spaghetti squash here - but I do also stirfry zucchini ribbons to have with bolognaise sauce and that's really yummy too. I adore pasta but the calories, sheesh. Even on bandster sized portions its still easy to end up with a 500 calorie meal which by the end of a day is too much for me, especially if I fancy a small glass of wine. I have to have gluten free pasta too - which is even MORE calories and generally crappy, high GI refined rice, potato flours.

I love zucchini squash but have never had spaghetti squash. How do you prepare it?

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
