mimi81082 27 Posted September 15, 2012 Unfortunately, you won't be able to wear underwear. Have you talked to your primary doctor? Sometimes they can give you medication to keep you from having your period that month.

Chasity Henson 4 Posted September 15, 2012 I was on my period during the surgery as well. They gave me the mesh net panties to wear a pad with. It's the same ones they give you to wear after you have a baby. No need to worry they are ready for anything.
☠carolinagirl☠ 18,721 Posted September 15, 2012 i was on my period (actually just finishing) because i was just spotting, i did not have to put on those sexy hospital undies haha i did have some pads/towels under me its not a big deal..dont worry bout stuff we have no control over
fostermomma 39 Posted September 15, 2012 I was on my period and they gave me these mesh panties with a pad in them. Believe me, they are NOT meant for big girls. I tore one right through the crotch and had to ask for another one. I tore it because I was trying to make the legs bigger because it was cutting off my circulation. Anyhoo.....for future reference, ask them for a pair of scissors and you can cut the legs on the sides a little bit. It sucked being on my period and I felt it took longer for it to go away. I also didn't know if the bloating was caused by the period or the surgery. Good luck to you!

Krussell19 217 Posted September 16, 2012 Had to have absolutley nothing on underneath the gown. They just place a big pad under you. will seem extremly embarrassing but they do this everyday so pretty routine to them so don't get to embarrassed if its how they do it. 1 PattyGirl66 reacted to this
