7 Ccs No Restriction

Recommended Posts

I was banded on June 5 also. I've had 3 fills with 4.6 cc in an 11 cc band. And I don't have any restriction either. Zip. Zero. I am soooo frustrated. I am starting to regret my decision. It is ridiculous to have done that, spent that money and had surgery, and not see results. I've weighed the same for 8 weeks now. I do not recommend the band to anyone. And reading these posts does nothing to improve my morale. I eat right. No sweets, low carbs, high Protein, and track my calories. I'm starving all the time. Doesn't matter if I eat 800 calories or 1200 calories. I could (but don't) still eat more. I work out. This sucks and I am not happy.

Sorry for being a downer. I'm just so frustrated.

Have you talked with your surgeon about this? Seems to me you just need more fill.

Thanks for all the advice and tips. Junkr, I am sorry you are so discouraged. I am too but I do not regret it yet. I know I do not eat as much as I use to but I I want to see the scale move. I am loosing inches and had to buy new clothes. My doc laughs at me and says you are just too impatient. Maybe I should stay away from Protein Shakes. I like to drink them in the morning bc they are quick but I am STARVING by lunch time and feel weak. I go back next week for another fill! Hanging in there................

i have a 4cc band and i have like 4ccs in there and no restriction. my doctor said my band can actually hold up to 15 ccs' date=' but something about pressure around the 4th cc determines why it is called a 4cc band. it is confusing.[/quote']

I am the same here. My band is 7cc and I have 7,5 cc. My doctor said it holds up to 9! Not sure either why it called 7cc band ?

Hang in there if you r starving you need more fill...my hunger pains are a feeling of nausea if I don't get something in my stomach...other wise I think I could go forever and not eat...I have had my lap band 20 months and have lost 110 lbs...I tell you it is the most amazing feeling when you get to goal....but there were a lot of ups and downs to get here...

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
