Looks like I have to take a road trip -- what's a sonic? And why does everywhere except Massachusetts have them? Probably a good thing! Really the only drive thrus near us are McD's & BK and there's really nothing there that calls to me (except fries) so I can resist the urge. If they made drive thru pizza near here, I would be in BIG trouble! Pepperoni pizza is my favorite food and I cannot eat pizza at all since banding..............If anyone has to eat in the car -- make sure you have a cup or bag with you just in case..............

All I can say is: THANK GOD INDIANA DOES NOT HAVE A SONIC:D

OH yes it does. I know of one in Ft. Wayne. That's the one that I'd drive an hour or so to visit.

If there's one in Ft. Wayne, I'm sure there's others in Indiana.

Here in Austin there is a sonic every other block. For those who don't know what a sonic is, its like the old fashion drive ins where the girl delivers your food on roller skates, it has every fantastic junk food you can imagine. It wonderful! Try the diet cherry lemonaide, it's delish! I sure do miss the chili cheese burger, somrtimes the salad just doesn't do it.

Oh - who needs Sonic when you have Pappadeaux! I won't even slap - I haven't got a leg to stand on there... and ALAS - no PB's from Key Lime Pie...

Hugs! Today, we just won't go to the bad places...

Pappadeaux is kind of a high-middle end Cajun Seafood place. I have been in TX for almost 4 yrs and just NOW am trying it.

To. Die. For.

*sigh*

I suppose it's a good thing I never went in until now. I would have a lot more weight to lose!

We don't have a Sonic but are there any better choices there. Has anyone checked their website for the caloric content. Maybe there is a smaller version and you can take off 1 bun. I have made that a habit for at least 2 years now. I figure the calories in that one bun is better left in the trash then in me so I can wear it around forever.

Thankfully I don't do cold well so the Sonic Blast isn't something I would enjoy frequently. I can do ice cream for some reason better than drinks that are frozen or really cold.

I rarely do hamburgers or sandwiches, I hate the feeling I get. I have noticed though as long as I don't drink for like an hour afterward (I know supposed to do so anyways) that I can eat about 1/2 a hamburger with the bottom bun. I can eat a (kids) cheeseburger from BK in 2 settings!!

btw I've been good, no ice cream or fries in the past few days... I'm still loosing weight too!

I LOVE SONIC!!

I usually go there on Fridays if I have a good week and get a "ORANGE CREAM SLUSH" OMG I love them!

BUT our one and only Sonic burned 2 weeks ago.:cry :cry

We have a few more fast food places but there isn't anything there that I can eat.:clap2: I know this is a good thing, but I miss my slush!!!

You wont get any slap from me because I am in your shoes.

To all the "Drive through junkins."

KEEP DRIVING PAST!!

((((((((HUGS)))))))) TO ALL!

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

Am feeling this right now. My surgery date is 4/1. Sign the consent tomorrow. I feel like I overloaded myself with too much info, too many opinions. Got to the point where I was wondering if I should do this. Then I thought of my reasons for taking this step and that settled my nerves. Still get moments of doubt but am striving forward. Am just going to follow my book from the surgeon. Joined this because I was told by my dietician that I should do this for support
