Are There Spammers On This Site??

Recommended Posts

I go through almost every post, but some posts look shady and unreliable. Just wanted to know, I know every open site does. But some post on here are random, I alway look at how many posts someone has and the topic they choose to talk about.

Just an obvservation

Trolls are people that will come on here, and make a WAY off the wall comment, "just to get you going". Some people can spot them right away, others feed them by responding.

I didn't have this site when I was waiting or losing wish I would have. Maybe it's my teaching background but I try to contribute honest opinions and help. There are days I absolutely have to say HELLO who is your DR. are you for real........

And then I look up profiles..

MY only wish is someone new would follow the threads so they would know a lot of what they are asking has been asked and answered quite a few times. THe old saying there are no dumb questions.............. somedays I think there really are. However having said that I either do not answer those or leave it to the sweeter folks.

I have been successful on this journey and I want that for every one out there with all my heart, but I will give whoever ask the facts as I have lived them and I was the one of the most rebellious , self hating ,people around and gaining control over this area of my life has been the best thing I have ever done for myself and I want it for every person who comes on and want help.

It's to be expected for the same questions to be asked over & over . It's just the way it is on any forum.

They get a kick out of scaring potential banders & newbies. If the story is way out there, most likely not true.

Yes, you have to be aware of stories that just don't sound right! There are people that get a kick out of scaring people. Best wishes. Karen

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
