As you all know this date marks the worst tragedy in the US .. when I was first presented this day as an option for surgery I hesitated with great consideration for the following tuesday. Prior to 9/11 I would've taken this date without any thoughts. So If I ended up pushing my surgery to the following wk then the terrorist had won once again. I'm proud of the ones that were presented this date for surgery and didn't back down because of the horrible anniversary that we face every year. On some level this date will signify a positive in our new lives. my surgery is scheduled @ 10:45 so I'll keep you updated once I'm back from the hospital. Today is my day to be brave
