lrhodes46 55 Posted September 9, 2012 It's normal to be nervous. I was the same way as I was being wheeled into surgery I was second guessing myself. But things turned out fine. I have lost 20 lbs. since surgery. You will do just great. The surgery center at True Results has a wonderful staff. Very caring. Keep us posted on your surgery date. 1 vmarlau reacted to this

brlgirl 112 Posted September 10, 2012 I am using True Results and Dr. Riley was my dr. I have been really happy for the most part. I liked Dr. Riley...except that I only saw him immediately before my EDG and my actual band/hernia surgery. Once I've been banded I have not seen him again...instead I go the "clinic" and work with the nurse practioners--they are the ones who do the fills/unfills. I will warn you...that scheduling an appointment can be difficult...especially if you work and need an appointment after 3:00--they only do those on Thursdays. The amount of wait time is really crazy...I have waited up to an hour between the waiting room and in the individual "fill/adjustment" room. And...oh the traffic is horrid--especially if you happen to have an appointment on a day when there is a Texans game or if it's Rodeo time--my last appointment was the first pre-season Texans home game and it took me 2 hours to get back to Katy. Don't get me wrong...I love my band and the ladies at the center are very nice. I figure that I can deal with the above if I can get healthier (and skinny too). I've had my insurance checked by a company down here, and it wasn't covered. But I called True Results-Houston today and they said their insurance team know which questions to ask to make sure it's not covered. Only thing is I live in Louisiana so hopefully they allow me to travel there and have the surgery. They are about $4,000 cheaper than the companies here in Louisiana. The Houston location is only 3.5 hrs away. Sent from my iPad using LapBandTalk
