MargaritaH 2 Posted September 7, 2012 I had surgery on 6/7/12 and have had a pretty easy time of it till now. My first fill was uneventful but I have recently had my second fill of 2 cc ( total of 8 cc in a 14cc band). I notice when I go to eat or drink it feels like I have air in my stomach and have the need to burp but cant. This takes several minutes to resolve itself and on some occasions if I try to push past it causes a blockage that created pressure in my chest that is painful. What am I doing wrong?!?!? colleenjoy 104 Posted September 7, 2012 There could be a couple of things happening. You could be eating to quickly, or too much and that is causing the food to get stuck. That pressure is exactly what I have when I've gotten stuck. However, if you are having trouble drinking you may be too tight. You should never have trouble getting liquids down. After my second fill I had the same issues you are having. I had a slight unfill and feel sooooo much better. I'm going in for another fill in october, we'll see how that goes. I don't think I'm in the green zone yet, as I still get hungry between meals. I think I jsut need more time to adjust to fills, so I need to be more conservative. good luck, hopefully you'll get this straightened out soon. Take care of yourself. 2 kll724 and papoose reacted to this
dee257 1,516 Posted September 7, 2012 I think Colleen is right with sounds like you might have to slow down eatting....smaller bites,,,,I know thats how i feel also when im so hungry and I forget to go slow...or I take a big bite but tell myself i wil chew it good and not swallow it all right away.. ( gross sounding but im learning) If trying to slow down doesnt help Id call your dr....good luck !!! 2 papoose and kll724 reacted to this
kll724 3,055 Posted September 7, 2012 As the others said, if you have trouble with liquid, you may be too tight! Your surgeon sound pretty aggressive with fills! Best wishes. Karen
