Has anyone tried on their wedding dress after losing weight and fit into it??? I am waiting to do so but I will this weekend! It had been 12 yrs and I can't wait to see if I even come close :)

Let us know! I was married 42 years ago, and did not have a wedding dress. But, I would, also, be interested in knowing !

i know most brides are thin when they marry or their "best fighting weight", but for me I went in the opposite. I was my heaviest or pretty close to it when I married and my dress was the largest size i could get. After loosing 50 or so pounds I put the dress back on. it's "huge" on me now. I still think it is the prettiest thing I own and I'll probally never get rid of it. Of course my gown was not taken in or what have you I was lucky that i was able to find something "off the rack" for the big day.

I never had a wedding dress, got married at court house. I was 16 & hubby 18. That was 40 yrs ago in Nov. I think I should get a wedding dress when I reach goal and renew our vows and you all are invited. LOL

My husband and I never had a traditional wedding and we were married at the town clerks 13 years ago. We have decided to renew our vows next June. I'm so excited to pick out a dress, nothing over the top but more importantly, I won't have any fat pictures ;)

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
