Since I started this at 330 pounds, it takes more weight loss to show, and

I 've been wondering if/when anyone would notice a difference. I went into an antique shop on my lunch hour yesterday, and the first thing the proprietor said was "You've lost weight!" I could have hugged her! She was the first person who noticed...probably because we haven't seen each other for several months. What a lift to my spirits and determination that was!:clap2:

I also noticed a couple of days ago that my watch, which would barely latch a couple of months ago, is actually loose enough to slide all the way around on my wrist on its own.

Can't notice a difference in my clothes yet, but I have always worn looser clothing than many people. It will come, I know. But I just had to share my two NSVs with people who would understand!

Emily

Emily,

Way to go girl!!!! It is nice when people start to notice and it does give us strength and determination.

Keep up the good work.

Oh yeah, doesn't the watch sliding thing put a little smile on your face:)

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
