TexasJeff 179 Posted September 5, 2012 I have a similar job as you. I'm a engineer on the railroad. I sit for more than 12+ hours at least 5 days a week and the other days are layover days. The Lap Band is not magic that will allow you to lose weight and keep it off. I had to learn no matter how many hours I work I. A week, you still have to work the program of diet and exercise. This is a must. If you aren't willing to actually have a change in your lifestyle, don't do it. If you want to change everything about your life, then do it. Juli Salzman 41 Posted September 9, 2012 Would Houston be too far? I'm in Angleton and I have a great Dr. In Houston. I took 3 days off work and timed my surgery with Labor Day so I had six days to recover.
