My name is Margie and I am new to this website. I am schudled to have my Lapband surgery 14th of Sep in Cary NC. I look forward to sharing my experience with you all and learning from all who have gone through the begining stage.

Through reading the postings on this site, I feel I was much more informed and prepared for my big day a week ago. Hi there! We all start at the same spot and most either find their way here before or shortly after their surgery.

My advice is to research everything lapband related and know what you're getting into. Some are not well informed by Dr's of what is necessary to succeed with the band and do not pursue education in any other aspect. I really recommend getting "Bandwagon" by Jean McMillan (there is a multimedia link somewhere on this page in a square box), it is chock full of great info for any stage.
