Average Daily Calories On Full Liquid

Recommended Posts

I am post op x6 days. Still on the full liquid diet. I cannot seem to get very many calories in or am I just silly. I am averaging 40 to 60 on the Protein. but with a calorie counter my numbers are like 800 for the day. I am supposed to have low cal juices and such, thin full liquids. Is this unusual?? Just asking. thanks

Your calories seem to be in the "ball park"...but now your focus should be on healing. Part of your healing will be to get sufficient Protein daily and to focus on getting additional SF/FF fluids to stay properly hydrated.

Reads like you are off to a great start!

It takes awhile to get Into the swing of things. It will all fall together and you'll be looking great in no time!

a little swollen. Give it some time.

I went 17 days post op on liquids before I saw my doctor. I lost 16 pounds in 17 days and I was around 800-900 calories each day. You can do it!

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.
