Do you eat Pasta and/or bread? I am afraid to so I really haven't yet and was just wondering what others do

I'm 9 months out and have never eaten bread, Pasta, or rice. Wasn't part of my surgeons post op diet. His suggestion was high Protein, low carb low, sugar diet. I only deviate from that every 7 to 10 days when I will "shock" my system with foods it isn't accustomed to.

I eat Pasta, in moderation and I try to stick with whole wheat Pasta. bread, however...NOT my friend. I just cannot get it go to down and if I do manage to, I get sick. Therefore, I just leave it alone.

Good luck!

Once in a while. Can go down fine or really cause a problem.

Got to know when to quit cuz one bite to many and it's all over.

Here is where the rules really apply:

1. small bites

2. eat slowly (put your fork down between bites)

3. chew chew chew

On any given day it can not agree with me but then again... same can be said for yogurt?

I also eat them once in a while. I did have my first stuck episode with bread the other day, but it was the heel and it was a gf loaf of bread, very thick and dry. So when and if I try again, I will be much more careful.

I'm 7 months post op an have no problems eating Pasta or bread. Everyone is different, it's trial and error for us. If you do try take small bits and chew like crazy.

I am 8 months out (almost 9!) and I have yet to try Pasta. It just doesn't seem.worth it to me. I would much rather have a veggie burger with sauce and ricotta than pasta with the same things.

I can only eat really crusty breads. For example, I had black bean Soup at panera yesterday and was able to eat the outer layer of the bread that comes with it. There is no way the doughy middle would have worked.

I am 4 months post op and even though I chew Pasta it still isn't my friend so I steer clear of it most of the time. Hard breads I can eat but nothing doughy.

I feel like the only thing I don't get sick from is rice pudding. breads of any kind Pasta and some meat make me sick I spit up alot I guess I just gotta cope. I was a veg for 5 yrs may have to go back to that. I do have a problem with broccoli though. Any suggestions

You probably need a tiny unfill. If you can't eat solid Protein & veggies without a problem you are too tight. Rice pudding is a slider!! It goes down easy but won't fill you up like protein will and you will not lose weight. If you are drinking enough Water, taking tiny bites & chewing your food to mush and you can't keep it down then you need an unfill. Make sure the brocolli is well cooked too- not crunchy or raw. Good luck.

I can nibble on the hard parts of Olive Garden bread stick ( like a mouse bite). I can eat Pasta with Alfredo if it is really wet and baby bites. Bread is not my friend. I've had bruschetta on crustinni. Anything yeasty, doughy, pizza that is thick, or white bread or rice will give me a stuck episode...all of it bad for you and got me heavy in the first place. I can have a cornmeal pancake with Syrup.< /p>

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
