Many in my husband's family and a few in mine are down there. Living there their entire lives a hurricane is just a good excuse to have a party.

growing up in charleston sc, we had hurricane parties

sat in garage and watched storms and drink beer

that is until HUGO........i dont play around no more with hurricanes or storms now

I didn't think they would after Katrina, but they opted to stay. No electricity, backed up plumbing, and Water all around the house, but the house isn't flooded yet.

Every hurricane season I'm like "please Lord keep us safe", but feel totally guilty about it going somewhere else.

I was without electric 5 days with Charlie and it was brutal!!!
