Concept57 2 Posted August 29, 2012 I had my surgery June 28, had a full to 2 cc's late July and a 2nd fill 2 more cc's a week ago. I started at 170 but being 4'10 I needed to lose at least 50 lbs. I had lost a total of 25 lbs from pre-surgery diet until this week. Now somehow I've gained 1-2 lbs. how does this happen? What am I doing wrong?!
DELETE THIS ACCOUNT! 12,703 Posted August 29, 2012 Well, how many calories a day are you eating? Are you monitoring your Protein intake so you know you get it all in? Also, have you had a high sodium meal lately? Or possibly PMS? 1 2muchfun reacted to this
Concept57 2 Posted August 29, 2012 I dont watch calories, but I don't do caffeine, it's not my time of the month, and I'm probably under my Protein intake. Im bad at this!
TKW 501 Posted August 29, 2012 weight can EASILY fluctuate 1 - 2 pounds. It really means nothing. You could get on the scale tomorrow and be down 2 pounds. Too much salt - reataining Water. Have you pooped lately. This happens to me every now and then. It usually goes away as quickly as it comes. So, if you are not over eating or eating junk... I say don't worry about it. Theoretically - you would have to eat 3500 calories over what you burn in a day to gain 1 pound. So say you could maintain at 1600 calories. You'd have to eat 5100 calories to gain 1 pound. I don't know how a lap-bander could do that unless you were drinking malts all day? 3 Visionary444, jen_1381 and 2muchfun reacted to this

Also important. 1 DELETE THIS ACCOUNT! reacted to this
2muchfun 8,927 Posted August 29, 2012 Most of us take in at least 64 ozs of fluids a day. That's 4 lbs of Water. It's very easy to retain 25% or more of that with meds, sodium and carb intake in just one day. Don't obsess over such small weight fluctuations over one week. Maybe over 2 months? tmf
