Beth A 28 Posted August 27, 2012 Yeah i've read a little about it, to my understanding somehow another your nerves in your stomach share the same nerve in the shoulder area? And if your stomach is being irritated it hurts your shoulder, but i never had this pain before and i'm 10 weeks post, but I do have alot of gas that i don't normally have, but i'm not to worried at this time. Thanks everyone for your help!

tahbu2 0 Posted August 29, 2012 I am 7 months post op and I get not only left shoulder pain but also mid back pain when I eat too much or too quickly. The sad thing is that the pain is not immediate (so no early warning to stop eating) and no amount of OTC pain med helps to relieve the discomfort. It is just a matter of time (sometimes it lasts more than an hour) for the pain to dissapate.
