Recommended Posts

I was thinking of the stuff i never wear because of my weight... I would love to wear a shorts next summer in public. I also would love to get sexy negligee and look great. I've only lost 28lbs, but maybe this time next year i could surprise my husband! ;) oh and i would love to wear heels! I don't feel comfortable wear heels caz of how heavy i am. :( i hope you write stuff for me to read, keeps me motivated! Love the support group here! Xxoo

I'm hoping to get into a bikini! I haven't wore one in about 17 years! Heels would be good too! :D

A leather jacket! Always wanted to wear one but thought I would look silly coz I'm so big. And I want to wear a dress without leggings or tights :)

A dress above my knees, tube style jumpsuit with stilettos, knee high boots, skirt/dress without something under it to keep my legs from rubbing and all white pantsuit

Do you know, I got there quite a few years back now and wear mostly whatever I like to wear - although we all have some limitations and some things that just dont suit us. What is really really good though is not having to shop in fat stores. I still appreciate the freedom of being able to shop anywhere - particularly my one or two favourite designers and being able to go on holidays and fossick around in resort towns and stuff like that.

I'm not even taking my old bikinis to Thailand in a few weeks - can buy nice new ones there! I never could have dreamed of doing that with anything, let alone bikinis.

For me anyway, this was one of the BEST things bout weigh loss - I wasnt on medication, nor did I have any real comorbidities. But not being able to buy nice clothes was a truly dreadful dilemma!

Sleeveless anything!!! I look forward to that clothing victory most of all! I've never stopped wearing shorts but it would be great to wear them and not feel self conscious about the size of my calves. I'm doubtful in my ability to pull off wearing a bikini, but there are plenty of cute one-piece suits that I wouldn't mind rocking. Ha. In fact, ill just be really happy when I can stop worrying and START LIVING again. Woo boo. :)

I really love this topic!! Of course it would be to wear a bathing suit and shorts and feel comfortable! To this day I have never worn a pair of shorts!! I'm not even caught walking at home in them!! And a bathing suit! I usually have a giant towel wrapped around me till I hit the pool then wrapped around me before I even get out!! And yes even in my own back yard. And like the rest of the ladies I want to be able to dress sexy and be comfortable being a woman. I love ironfistclothing.com and the heels are to die for!! I recently bought a pair but have yet to wear them. Now I'm afraid my feet are going to lose wt and they won't fit! And xsentric I would totally rock my parachute paints again. I saved mine from high school lol.

COLOR

not black or brown!!

Oh, heaven yes!! I like black and brown just fine, but give me MORE COLOR and LESS UGLY PATTERNS to choose from. ;)

Oh and I love to make costumes for comic conventions so it will be nice to pull off a non-heavy character for a change.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
