3 Months Post Op

Recommended Posts

M 3 months post op today, I've been doing well. I'm down 60lbs and have lost a total of 24 1/2 inches off my body. I'm so happy. I'm going tomorrow for my first reward for my first goal met. I'm getting a tattoo

Congrats but why a tattoo? I just don't get why people want to permanently scar their body. But, that's my hangup, not yours.

Congratulations and good for you!!! It's so nice to reward with something other than food isn't it?! I am also going to do another tattoo, I just have not decided on my goal for that. 60lbs sounds like a great mark! I think that's what I will make it!! Do you know what you are going to have done yet? :)

Yes I want a koi fish on my right shoulder which I am then going to add onto and make a scene with a Cherry blossom branch on my left shoulder and the Water and lily pads under. Very difficult explaining without pictures but it is beautiful. The artist I chose was for his specific detail in other koi tattoos he's done

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Anyone had the TORe procedure? How did it go? How much weight did you loose?

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
