Excited And Nervous...

My surgery is scheduled for September 10th. I start my pre diet on Monday. This weekend my parents are keeping my 2 year old daughter so that my husband and I can have a hot date Saturday prior to this all happening! I am so excited about the future. I just want to feel better physically and emotionally and be the best mommy and wife I can be. It's amazing how much your weight can affect every area of your life. The turning point for me was this June when we went to the beach. I refused to put a bathing suit on and I had to sit on a lounge at the pool while my husband played with our daughter in the Water. I don't want to miss out on those memories! That made me sad, and then mad! I am going to do this. For her and for me! I am worth it!!!!!

Good for you! I have to be honest...I had my surgery on April 16th 2012 and am doing well. I am down two sizes...was in size 20 and now in 16's! Yeah for me! lol...but four months later it is not the size or how much I weigh it is totally how much being overweight affected EVERYTHING in my life! Last summer I broke a beach chair and lied to my husband about it! How pathetic is that! This summer I am sitting on the beach swimming in the Water and actually taking walks on the beach. I have about 30 more pounds to lose but just losing the first 30 pounds has made such a tremendous difference in my life. I wake up feeling better about myself and enjoy exercising now. It was a LONG road and not easy at times but the lap band has made my life so worthwhile! Good luck to you!

Love your attitude!! This is the best thing you could do for yourself and your family. It's not always easy but I would do the surgery all over again in a heartbeat.
