pcosmommyof4 13 Posted August 24, 2012 I am having a hard time finding food that does not give me gas or loose bowels. I seem to be lactose intolarent, peanut intolarant, grilled chicken breast stuck on my Saterday. I have a food list from my dr. But most items on the list are being stripped off for variaing reasons. I am not complaining, I just need ideas!
Julie norton 2,850 Posted August 24, 2012 Sometimes I have to go with Protein Drinks or bars to calm an irritated band. Also Soups. 6 years and still trying to figure it out. Good luck
pcosmommyof4 13 Posted August 24, 2012 What type of Soup? Most of them have milk, rice or Pasta in them.
elcee 3,341 Posted August 24, 2012 Make your own. Just boil some veggies in some stock and then blend until you hit the desired consistency. You can add herbs and spices to taste. If you want extra Protein try adding Beans or lentils or chickpeas etc Although the gas may be something you just need to get used to. Most bandsters find they burp and/or fart a lot more than they did preband

pcosmommyof4 13 Posted August 29, 2012 Thanks for the suggestions. Making your own is great if you dont work 60 hours a week!
elcee 3,341 Posted August 29, 2012 After being banded you should try to cook your own food as much as possible, store bought foods are not as healthy. Veggie Soup is quick and easy to make especially if you make a big batch and freeze it.
