caseyp 89 Posted August 22, 2012 I have gained two pounds in the couple days! I am eating exactly what I'm supposed to. I'm exercising. I'm two weeks post op. I know I'm not supposed to worry too much about losing before my first fill, but seriously, I was losing steadily preop. I feel like if I was steadily losing preop, then I sure as heck shouldn't be gaining!! So bummed!
TracyW2 137 Posted August 22, 2012 Put the scale away! It isnt accurate and can flutuate daily. There can be so many reasons as to why you are up. I know its hard to not base everything off that number, but it will just drive you crazy! 1 zinhaa reacted to this
TKW 501 Posted August 22, 2012 don't be.... weight fluctuates. Every now and then I'll be 3 pounds up but it disapears again pretty quickly. You could be retaining Water, getting your period, it all can affect your weight by a couple of pounds. I didn't get on a scale till 6 weeks past my surgery. I still don't own one. I weigh once a week at the gym sometimes more.
2muchfun 8,927 Posted August 22, 2012 We're not machines. You can gain 3 lbs just by eating too much sodium or too many carbs. Medications play into it too. Never fret over 2 little lbs. I gained 7 lbs in July when my grandkids came out. I lost all of it plus 1 lb a week after they left. Too many chips, ice cream, fruit slider foods. Fortunately the band kept me from eating too much so all my weight gain was Water. Going back to my band friendly foods brought me back on track. It's the same for you. You can gain or lose lbs of Water in days. tmf
suzeeq67 23 Posted August 22, 2012 Don't weigh yourself more than once a week, if that!! You will be pleasantly surprised that you are losing! Good luck with everything!
