People Noticed!

Recommended Posts

I am a school teacher and just started my new year. I had surgery 6/14 and am down 32 lbs. I was happy that a couple people at work noticed and said positive things about it! It always helps when I am feeling a little down or feel like I should have tried harder to lose more faster.

It feels sooooo good when people comment about your weight loss. I love hearing that. Just this weekend my husbands best friend said that I looked great and that I must have lost a lot of weight. Boy did that feel good.

I went back to work today since Aug 6 band date and it was nice to hear lots of positive comments about my success so far. The neagative people I work with are changing sides to being very positive about what I did. So far total weight before and after surgery is at 46 pounds. I'm leaning the right way.

Keep the faith Banders.

I have lost almost 50 lbs and when I returned to work I was at a 40lb loss. Everyone started noticing, I get daily compliments at work about how good I look. Unfortunatly some of my students overheard about my surgery and have had lots of questions. I have nothing but lotso support from all teachers and my students.

megan

you are doing so very good. your positive attitude is quite refreshing.

please do not ever get down on yourself. you hold yourself up my dear.

stop comparing yourself to others who are losing faster or more. That is

them......you are you. and you are wonderful.

as for one being our childrens teacher, i thank you for that. for its people

like you who taught my son how to read/write. for that i am most grateful

all the best always.

Yes guys and this is the best decision I have made about my health! I teach children who are physically handicapped. There is a lot of lifting and moving involved. I work up a sweat tht pipit the day. I feel stronger than I have ever been on this particular job. I can tell a real difference. I am still worn out at the end of the day, but i also feel stronger and have more endurance!

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
