Killer In Prison Gets Lap Band

Recommended Posts

Oh my gosh, that is complete crap!!!

There are thousands of decent people, who aren't cannibals in prison for murder, trying to get WLS and can't because of a lack of insurance or money. And this piece of human filth gets it in prison??? At the tax payer's expense???

That is just pathetic!!!

Actually what shocked me the most was he killed two people, ate one and then tried to kill another and only got 21 years.

Maybe this will help curb his hunger.... It might save a few lives once he is released.

It always amazes me how prisoners seem to get better treatment than normal people. TV,gym, golf courses, education etc. The criminal justice system is a joke. The best thing to do with this guy would have been to chuck him in one of those old style cells they used to have in medieval France ( the name escapes me atm), the type that had a hole in the top for an entrance that you would get dropped through and that was it.

Life is a joke because it doesn't mean life. It generally means 20 years and then you get time off for good behavious.

The death penalty doesn't work. It should act as a deterrent and it doesn't , plus the whole thing is so ridiculously expensive.

Here in Aus we have some idiot that killed I don't know how many people and he keeps launching court cases against the prison system. The stupid thing is that we the tax payer have to fund it. The world and so called civilization is nuts. We don't have Human Rights we have criminal rights. In fact i think ti's time they renamed the international court of Human Rights because all they ever seem to do is stand up for crims. Victims never seem to get justice.

it just seems to me that the courts/the whomever's are more concerned with the rights of the guilty and not so much of the victims. its appalling to me. i say we have the death penalty, by george lets use it. people that kill people should not be given a second chance. they did not give those victums a 2nd chance. and now his fat butt got fat and the tax payers there have to pay for his gastric banding?.....there is no justice.

just my 3 cents. hope i did not offend.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
