Scale Phobia

Recommended Posts

Today i got on the scale and i gained 6 lbs from the last time i weighed myself, but i gained 9lbs since the last time i went to the doctor 2 months ago. Sometimes i get discouraged when i see the scale go up and down. I dont feel like im losing weight but today my co worker said he can tell that i have lost weight. He also told me that youve been working out alot so the weight gain could be the fat turning into muscle and muscle weighs more than fat. When i see the scale go up and down it makes me nervous to weigh myself at home and even more nervous when they weigh me in the doctors office. :(

if your clothes are looser and you are feeling better, that is a wonderful sign that you are losing weight

the scale goes up and down all day long

best of luck to you :)

sounds like you are doing a great job

Why haven't you been back to see the dr? Don't be afraid of the scale. I weigh myself every day. It's one of the things that keeps me accountable. The only time I don't want to get on it is when I know I had a bad day the day before. Sure, muscle weighs more than fat, but 9 pounds of muscle seems like a lot of weight training to gain that. Sounds like you should get in to the dr and see what needs to be done to get you on the losing track again. Good luck.

Have you considered measuring yourself? scales are good tools occasionally, but, measurements will give you much more accurate results.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
