It happens. Some people feel a lot more restriction in the mornings and have to drink a hot/warm Fluid to loosen up some.

Thanks!! I'm going to drink something warm tomorrow morning hopefully it'll work!

i have a small cup of black coffee first thing. it always works well for me. Ive got 3 1/2 cc's in my band and im five months post op nearly. Im due for another small fill in a few weeks. I had to have 1/2 cc taken out about six weeks ago.... im not sure how much i will be able to tolerate in my band either. everyone is different. i know that if i even have a small fill im tight for at least two weeks afterwoods...and not only at Breakfast time.

My doc said its because fliud settles around the band overnight, and it causes it to be tighter. As we move around thru the day, so does the Fluid. I drink coffee brfore eating Breakfast, and only room temp Water later. No worries, this is quite the norm.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.
