niche 0 Posted March 20, 2006 i just got an adjustment and i am trying to figure out if it is too tight. i am unable to drink Water (or anything) first thing in the AM. if i do, i have the most awful slimes. if i drink after the treadmill, it's all good. i can practically gulp it down. i had .1 ccs taken out the day after the fill last week b/c i was in terrible pain. but i'm pretty sure that came from not following directions and eating mushrooms the day of the fill and one got stuck over the opening. but now there is no pain with the fill level. but this is definitely the first time i have had to be veeeeery careful with what i eat. so i am asking all you experts out there whether this may be an unhealthy level of fill. thanks guys! ThunderThighs 0 Posted March 20, 2006 There are several threads on this, if you just do a search. My experience is that I can't eat or drink much of anything in the mornings. It helps a lot if I have a cup of something warm. Somthing I've heard that the band shrinks up over night. I've had this same problem after a fill. Good luck
respiratorygirl 0 Posted March 21, 2006 I just had my 3rd fill and i can't eat or drink anything for about 4 hours after waking up. I tried some chocolate milk a few days ago and was sick for 2 hours. So your not the only one seems that its common.
cashley 0 Posted March 21, 2006 The nurse at my support group (the in-person) group told us to try a little hot tea to open the band a little. She said not to do it just to over eat but to relax the band when it feels to tight in the morning etc.

amandakl 0 Posted March 21, 2006 Yes, Sometimes it is hard to drink cold stuff. I prefer to drink my coffee and it relaxes me so that I can drink my crystal light. So you might try drinking the Water warm or having something warm or hot to drink first thing. Amanda
