Treenz 6 Posted August 17, 2012 Help guys I'm 4 days post op and really struggling with what to eat. I'm not much of a Water drinker and a bit lost with how I get all my nutrients up with the exception of Protein shakes! Any ideas of what got some of you through this stage would be great!! Summerrain 520 Posted August 17, 2012 Help guys I'm 4 days post op and really struggling with what to eat. I'm not much of a Water drinker and a bit lost with how I get all my nutrients up with the exception of Protein shakes! Any ideas of what got some of you through this stage would be great!! What my doctor told me was to have liquids only if I was actually hungry otherwise if I had nothing it was fine as we do have nutrients stored away to keep us healthy in these situations. I remember on my liquid stage I made my own broths and Soups and anything with lumps went through the blender. I also remember some days all I felt like was Water. To even look at a Protein shake would turn me green lol. V8 vegetable juice is also highly nutritious if you like it, I preferred the vegetable and fruit juice one. smmrsue 56 Posted August 17, 2012 At this stage you should be on liquids only. Soup broth, juice, popsicles. Anything you would be able to drink from a straw.,
Erin O'Donnell 61 Posted August 17, 2012 I'm day 5 post op and I've been drinking tons of Water. I've also been drinking chicken broth and Vitamin Water Zero. The vitamin water is really good. It's flavorful and gives you the Vitamins you need. I've also had wonton(sp?) Soup, minus the wontons and that was good. 1 clarks4willie reacted to this
Rita1576 5 Posted August 17, 2012 I am at day 10 post surgery and I completely sympathize with you. I actually started crying when I saw another container of chobani yogurt at day 4. But it gets better. I can actually sit with my family while they eat.
