The Date Is Set, 9/14!!

Just set my surgery date. Super nervous and extremely excited at the same time. Has anyone had the lapband for greater than 5 years on this forum? I've been researching long term effects of lapband recently and it has caused me to have some second thoughts. Some of the data out there is disturbing. But I have a feeling that having a BMI classified as morbidly obese will cause me much more harm in the long run. Ready to be healthy!!

Congrats on your surgery date!!!! I'm 3 days before you on the 11th.....Do you have to do a two week liquid diet?

Thanks slim&sexi. Hls50 I have to do a 2 week sugar busters diet. Basically meat veggies and fruit. No added sugar at all. I'm glad my doc does the sugar busters cause the Clear Liquids Pre op sounds brutal. I'm doing clear liquids for a week post op. you'll def have to keep me posted!!
