Rojasanoll 920 Posted August 16, 2012 Congratulations and prayers for a speedy recovery. YOU did it! When you leave if you have a long drive home ask for some meds before you leave hospital, for a pain free trip. Make sure the doctor faxes to your local pharmacy your pain med and it will be ready when you go. You should take pain med for a few days for any discomfort and helping you sleep at night peacefully. Have your heating pad ready and even if you dont think you need to use , sit in an easy chair and turn pad on med for 15 minutes in the middle of your back. It will help disapate and gas that will go to shoulder areas. I did this the first day home and i had a little shoulder ache next morning and then all gone and it didn't come back. The heating pad helped me prepare for bed as well, relaxing the back muscles. SIP your fluids, not like you drank Water before, it's SIPS now.
