Mara005 70 Posted August 16, 2012 I know the feeling, my insurance makes you wait 6 months from the first weigh- in, I started the process in March and will be banded in Oct.
sarahsmith487 1 Posted August 16, 2012 Im not required to do the 6 month diet with my insurance but ive been told it can still take a few months to get all the appointments done
Ima Loser 197 Posted August 16, 2012 I have to have a 3 month supervised diet, per my surgeons office, in order to pretty much guarentee my insurance will pay for my surgery. And luckily they offer that service to their patients free of charge. So I have scheduled all of my apointments with the nut. Also since I have a deductible with my plan that I already met for this year my suregons scheduler agreed to schedule me for my surgery before she gets the approval (which they usually dont do) so I am scheduled for Dec 7th!! I have my last appointment with the nut at the end of October, they will send the final paperwork to the insurance company then. I could have scheduled my surgery for November but I figured with Thanksgiving and everything I should just schedule it for the begining of Dec, then I will have time to be back on my feet completely before Christmas! Good Luck with everything!!
