Lori Voss Green 93 Posted August 15, 2012 As I posted on another thread, I went back to work today but it was short lived. Lots of pain from just sitting at my desk, so I am off the rest of the week. However, this afternoon I have just felt.......well........not good. I ache all over, nauseous (but not from eating), chilled, bit of a fever. I'm not sure if this is surgery related or me just coming down with something. Another thing, I have had hiccups all afternoon as well. Random, small hiccups. Does this sound surgery related to anyone?
Sonjasophia98 0 Posted August 15, 2012 If you're having lower back pain and a hard time peeing as well, it might be a urinary tract infection. Call your Dr. to get in to see him/her and drink lots of gatoraide, you may need more electrolites. This is what happened to me about a month after surgery with all of the symptoms you listed before as well as the symptoms above.

Erin O'Donnell 61 Posted August 15, 2012 Oh no...this worries me about going back to college :/ I just got banded on the 13th and I start classes on the 23rd, which means sitting through multiple classes most of the day...hopefully I won't be in horrible pain like you are :/
elcee 3,342 Posted August 15, 2012 It's always best when you feel unwell after an op to get it checked out. Better to be safe than sorry.
Lori Voss Green 93 Posted August 15, 2012 I think mine is mostly due to the amount of swelling I still have. The incision for the port has been pretty sore for me as well. I've been reading on here about some people going back to work pretty fast....each person is different obviously. How is your pain right now?
