sky56 0 Posted March 20, 2006 I had not had my first fill yet am scheduled on Tuesday suddenly last Thursday I went from very little rescriction to tight restriction now things get stuck even Water. They do go down eventually but it is painful. It has gotten a little better but am still way more restricted than I was. Does this mean my band has slipped???? Will they be abel to tell:confused: when I go in?
PhotoNut 7 Posted March 20, 2006 Hello Sky. Did this sudden restriction begin with a PB? Did something you eat get stuck or come back up on you? Quite often, when that happens, things will become irritated and swell a bit. It's recommended that you go on liquids for a couple of days to give things time to relax again. Are you still trying to eat regular foods? If so, you should stop trying and just relax. Try some Water tomorrow and if you still cant get it down tomorrow, perhaps request to see your doctor a day early with an explanation about whats going on. Let us know how things go. But most of all.. please try to relax. Sometimes being stressed can cause you to tighten. Oh, and many women say that when it's that time of the month, they also become more restricted. Just a few guesses about what could have caused it.
paula 4 Posted March 20, 2006 Hi Sky, When I was banded, I felt zero restriction until the morning of my first fill - which was exactly 4 weeks after banding (to the day). I went ahead with the fill and didnt gain -NEW- restricion until weeks after THAT (maybe 3?). My guess is that you may be like some of us and not gain restriction until later... which is very commen. Ill try to do some digging and see if I can find some threads relating to this delayed restriction.
Alexandra 55 Posted March 20, 2006 Many people have remarked that pre-fill, they feel sudden restriction. Perhaps it's stress, perhaps it's all in our minds. But the effect is real, and you're not alone. Get your fill anyway and just be careful afterwards (which you would be anyway, of course). Good luck!
