CB2 26 Posted August 15, 2012 Horrible gas pains I guess?? Worked all day then Walmart. When I got home I almost wanted to go to hospital from the pain. On drive home it started between my shoulder blades, just a slight discomfort. When I got home pain from hell from collarbone to lower abdomen ALL on left side. I couldn't move. It really scared me. I could barely breathe. I'm just surprised having that much pain this many days out.
Fat_Librarian 21 Posted August 15, 2012 I was banded 8/9 and had the same thing happen to me yesterday. It WAS terrible, but with a heating pad and pain meds it went away. Take it easy - no more Walmart! 1 CB2 reacted to this

Rojasanoll 920 Posted August 15, 2012 Pain meds if you have any and use your heating pad. I use mine all the time for 10-15 minutes to relax back and shoulders prior to going to sleep. And I dont have any aches. The heat just feels good. 1 Roxygirl reacted to this
sweetsam2005 9 Posted August 15, 2012 I have had gas pain in my shoulder / collarbone all day today too. I was banded on 8/8 as well. All I can think is rest and the ideas about the heating pad are great I just don't have one. I hope you feel better soon! NWgirl 574 Posted August 15, 2012 Gas pains were also delayed for me. I found using those stick on temporary heating pads to be pretty useful. Sent from my iPad using LapBandTalk
blushntexn 7 Posted August 15, 2012 Sipping hot mint or peppermint tea, heating pad, and gas-x have all helped me. I was only banded two days ago but Have had gas pains. Is it normal for the stoma to hurt when you first start thicker liquids? c
taylorthetruth 1 Posted August 15, 2012 Yeah I had surgery just over a week ago and a few days out i got horrible gas and pressure pains started in the shoulder then went down to the lower left side of my abdomen. The gas strips I had been taking werent working so I got some antacid/antigas chewables (generic tums) and washed it down with just a little dr. pepper laid down for about and hour and that helped cure it! I havent had problems since! Hope this helps! (: I was just vlogging about this! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Kv5xDgqKtc&feature=plcp
