canderson04 17 Posted August 13, 2012 I tried to do sit ups last night and experienced a lot of pain around my port area. Just wondering if anyone else has trouble with doing Sit ups and crunches on the floor. What are some other alternative exercises to work my stomach and core. sHeLLaBee 130 Posted August 13, 2012 I haven't really had pain, but it has been a little uncomfortable a few times. I figured the muscle it is attached to was moving around. How long since your surgery? Are you completely healed?

sHeLLaBee 130 Posted August 13, 2012 Oh, you are really new! =) I am about 10 months out. I would hold off on any ab stuff for a few weeks and then try again. I wouldn't want you to over do it and then be uncomfortable. Just focus on arms and legs right now!
Readyforachange*** 5 Posted August 13, 2012 I also had pain when doing situps in the port area, but stop after and I haven't tried to do anymore I just stick with aerobics. Haven't told my Dr. yet.
bornready 42 Posted August 13, 2012 I have had my port move around a tiny bit and it can be painful! Never know when it is gonna happen! I agree with #4 sHeLLaBee don't over do it, give yourself some more time to heal, and get your Protein in, that helps the most with the healing process!
