Lapband 8/17 - Need Food Advice

Hi everyone,

I'm new in here, but think I prefer this site than the OH (Obesity Help).

So, I'm scheduled to have surgery this coming Friday, the 17th. I only have to do the clear liquid diet the day before the surgery, then for several days there after. Although I am considering doing the plication with the lapband so I'm not sure of their requirements. I don't have my pre-op until Thursday so I'm hoping to get some tips from people in here

Does anyone have any experience with the combo of plication & lapband? Are the dietary restrictions the same? Is a hospital stay required?

Can someone give me an example of a clear liquid diet progressing ot a soft food diet, please?

i had the plication and banding and have lost 53 pounds so far

i stayed overnight in the hospital and i find from reading on here and meeting people

at my dr's office, my surgery is not much different than just the band.

i had to do 2 week pre and post op liquid diet

its all up to your doctors requirements
