Rojasanoll 920 Posted August 12, 2012 WOW, your surgeon let you eat sherbet and apple sauce. You are lucky I'm still on liquids (clear broth). I was banded Aug 6. My gas disappeared overnight. Heating pad on high on the back for 10-15 minutes. Then relax and before you go to bed put the heating pad on again.I also had a hiatal hernia repaired. Best wishes and Be positive. I would stop the Tomato Soup (acid) for 2 days and see if it goes away.
ILUVMATH 25 Posted August 12, 2012 My surgeon's staff warned me that my neck & shoulders would hurt from the way they have to position your head & neck for the anesthesia. Maybe this could be your pain.
Pheath 38 Posted August 12, 2012 I was banded yesterday and my left shoulder started hurting tonight. Trying the heating pad thing. Pennie

My husband got banded 2 years ago and seemed to have a much easier time than me. I do know that my neck and shoulder pain are much better in the mornings, but as soon as I eat or drink anything it comes right back. Also my stomach feels like I was kicked by a horse. It is especially bad when I try to stand and walk around.
FLORIDAYS 3,040 Posted August 12, 2012 it took me about 2 weeks before I was feeling back to my old self. the body must have time to repair it self. However consider yourself lucky .... I wasnt able to eat anything but liquids for the 3 weeks after surgery! My Dr was very strict. 1 Rojasanoll reacted to this
