Getting My Band Tomorrow And Super Super Nervous :(

Recommended Posts

Seem like you clearly used your context clues and was able to figure out what she meant. I dont see how your post was productive. Just sayin'

Maybe while using the internet to communicate she would learn correct grammar to help herself along in life.

JUST SAYIN'

Wow... Just wow. Anyways, lord help me if I have a typo writing this since my auto correct gets wonky every once in awhile, forgive me oh gods of grammar and spelling that exist out there: ( is this a proper usage of a colon... Gah! I am all a flutter that it is wrong! The internets will be angry!) be brave! You will do great and there are tons of people on this site that are here to support with kind words. (swear it! Typos and all!) :)

I actually always do tell nurses and doctors I have SERIOUSLY deep veins, and the reply I get is 'yea yea, I've been doing this for years, I know what I'm doing' but then they soon realise they've met their match and can't get to my veins and I get so frustrated :( I find that maternity nurses/midwives are good at finding them sometimes, but none of them here :( so nervous something will go wrong tomarro :(

Wow....Anyway, its ok to be nervous. It's a natural reaction. Just explain your concerns before they start & you'll be fine.

Good luck dear! I will keep you in my prayers! No worries, everything will be fine! Just try to drink liquids when you can and try not to tense up when they try to draw blood because that will

make the veins hide! Take care and i wish you a speedy recovery! Keep us updated!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
