forestgranger 0 Posted March 19, 2006 I have been on fluids for 12 days post op now and the thing is although i have been very comfortable with the food restriction, it doesn't feel like i'm banded at all. I can gulp down fluids if i'm thirsty and I reckon I could eat a big Sunday lunch LOL. This is what worries me after hearing about PB'ing and leads me on to my question. Will i recognise i'm banded when the soft food starts or am i going to eat too much one day and make myelf poorly...
Alexandra 55 Posted March 19, 2006 This is good news at your stage, forestgranger. It means you're healing well! Now comes the hard part, not getting too hungry so that you bolt some food or eat too much before you're ready. I'm guessing you're still on liquids or at least mushies, so don't worry about calorie restriction at this point. Just eat as much as you need to be satisfied so you aren't tempted to overdo it. You'll be ready for your first fill when the time comes. Be thankful everything is in order!
legallyKristin 0 Posted March 19, 2006 forestgranger- I am right there with you! I'm 11 days post-op and I feel like I could eat a horse!! I'm just making sure that I make good decisions about what I eat and watch how I drink. The way I look at it, I've starved to death on diets before, I can make good choices even if I am a little hungry before I get my fill. Just think of this as the last time you have to go hungry on a diet so long as you follow bandster rules and keep up on your band fills. Hope that helps! Kristin
