jessicakesbanded 25 Posted August 11, 2012 HI everyone! Just wanted to come on here and do a quick introduction. My name is Jessica, I just turned 24 years old. Live in the wonderful city of San Francisco. I am 5'2, and I've dealt with weight issues my whole life. I've also been yo-yo dieting for the past 10+ years. Even on the "smaller" side of WLS, I've still developed weight induced health issues. I truly am ready to take control of my life. I love my body and I love myself. I owe it to myself to be heathy. I was banded on Thursday August 9, 2012. The day of surgery was realllllly rough, but I had my wonderful boyfriend and my mom to take care of me. It is Saturday, and I am still in pain, but with every day, it gets better and better. My goal is lose 70 lbs. I am so happy and hopeful of my future! 1 slojo67 reacted to this

Rojasanoll 920 Posted August 11, 2012 Welcome to this forum and Congratulations on yoru new journey. Here we all have something in common, to be healthy and take back control of our bodies. Take the pain meds they gave you rather than stomach any discomfort you might feel. It's okay and you won't get addicted. Heating pad for any shoulder aches and it aslo soothes your back. SIP your Water , don't drink liquids like in the past. Do your walking, even if you dont feel like it. It gives you more blood flow to areas that were disturbed during surgery. Best wishes and a speedy recovery. I was banded on Aug 6.
