nathansmommy1020 2 Posted August 11, 2012 Does anyone know anything about gluten free dough? I recently saw these Chebe brand doughs - in varieties such as Pizza Crust mix, cinnamin roll mix, foccacia mix, breadstick mix, etc... i was wondering if these were a safe alternative for breads? Thanks in advance!

divinia2003 4 Posted October 14, 2012 Chebe mixes are very versatile. Once I made the regular mix into about six breadsticks (Olive Garden style), brushed them with olive oil and dusted them with garlic powder. My non-GF brother came along and ate TWO of them before I caught him. He had no idea they were GF and loved them. I loved them too. I made the cinnamon mix, rolled it out thing and cut it into 1 inch by 2 inch strips which I sprinkled with cinnamon sugar. I gave each one a twist and had cinnamon twist crisps. Jachut 487 Posted October 14, 2012 You have the same issue with GF products as with regular - bread, cake, pizza dough can be hard to eat. I find most of it pretty yuck to b honest,I just do without. But if you lie it and can eat it, then just bear in mind a lot of gluten free stuff is even LESS healthy than wheat based, potato, rice, corn, tapioca flours are all extremely high GI and there's often more sugar and fat too.
