tnt21705 8 Posted August 10, 2012 Sometimes lately after I eat I have a pain up under my left breast or right under my breast bone. It makes me think "oh no I ate too much and irrated my band" and I lay down and it will pass after a couple of hours. I am worried that have I stretched my upper stomach? Well today that pain started hours after I ate and it is much worse. I feel it all the way to my back and it feels throbbing. I got on and read about gallbladder problems with banders. I hadn't even thought about that as the problem. Does this sound like a stretched or slipped band or gallbladder pain? I go for a fill in Sept and I am going to tell them about the pain and hope they do an x-ray.
NWgirl 574 Posted August 10, 2012 I would personally go in and have it checked out now. Gallbladder problems, if this is the cause, are notorious for getting steadily worse.
neener1970 39 Posted August 10, 2012 That's exactly what happened to me and I thought it was a slip but it was my gallbladder and it did get worse, later came the sweats and chills nausea and the pain would increase in intensity to the point where I could hardly walk or move. The attacks have progressed to multiple times a day and I am waiting on surgery. Get an ultrasound don't wait because if it is your gallbladder it will get worse and even the pain meds will not make you feel human
tnt21705 8 Posted August 10, 2012 OMG I do feel nausea today and my head feels kinda light. I am kinda shaky... I took an advil and it helped with the pain.

honk 780 Posted August 11, 2012 Yes see a doctor now. PS don't take any more advil. Very bad for the banded stomach.
tnt21705 8 Posted August 13, 2012 I checked with my lap band office about the advil and they don't have a problem with it. Very small dose. having an ultra sound tomorrow for the gallbladder.
